Cove started out as a university project based around a pirate village by the sea and i carried on working it after i graduated. More of a visual piece of work than a playable level, it was never released publicly. The idea behind it was to try and learn the new version of the Unreal editor, whilst creating something in a style that was unusual for Unreal.
Some of the screenshots above were taken whilst i was still at university and others are taken from the project in the later stages after i was able to devote more time to polishing it.
As well as putting this level together and lighting it I also modeled the buildings, caves, seafront stalls, the palm tree and fountain in the first image and more.
